Thank You for your interest in my saddles, gear and horses! .... JW Wright
A little about me ........ I have been earning a living by working with horses all of my adult life. I have worked as a ranch cowboy, ranch manager, stallion station manager, and trained horses for the public for 28 years. For 10 years, we also ran our own cow/calf operation in Butler County, Kansas. It has been my good fortune to have worked with many great horses and people. You can read a little more about some of my accomplishments below.
My experiences working with thousands of different horses both doing real life ranch work, and in the competitive arena, give me a unique perspective, I believe.
This perspective not only aids me in understanding horses and cattle, but has given me a better insight in to the form to function relationship of saddles and gear. I started making much of my own gear, and saddle repairs many years ago. Over time, I have come to the place where much of my time is devoted to building quality saddles and gear.
I have been married to my best friend, Edye for 25 years. She was ranch raised, and has a lifetime of experience in the horse and ranching world. Edye operates her own award winning photography business, The Wright Focus.
We have a daughter, Jordan, who is 22 years old, attends Wichita State University, works for a law firm in Wichita, and is preparing to attend Law School upon graduation from WSU next Spring.
I have been privileged to train many great ranch and performance horses, including:
